Strawberry Fields Forever!!

There are some fabulous pick your own produce places in Columbus. So, on one of Scott's says off we went strawberry picking with Sarah and Adam. I have never tasted a better strawberry. We could have stayed in the that field all day! Ella especially loved the berries. She just wandered up and down the rows looking for the biggest ones. We threw the onsie away! It was toast.
Sarah and I then got very ambitious and made some freeze jam. It was so good. I thought it was so pretty too. The bright red strawberries. You just can't beat fresh. It was such a fun afternoon.
Barnum and Bailey Circus

We went to the best circus in the world!!! The Barnum and Bailey Ringling Brothers Circus came to Columbus and we got to go. It was so much fun and truely what a circus should be. It was like watching a broadway musical with live animals and crazy tricks. The whole family was entertained the entire time!!

Here we have Idaho....
Scott's little sister Hayley come home from her mission the first part of April and we got to go home for her report. She did such a fantastic job and we were so happy we got to see her. We love Hayley and have missed her so much.
We also took the chance to spend a little time with my whole family before my little brother Jake left for his mission to Brazil

Scott had to get back to school but I decided to make the most of the event and stayed for 10 days. We had such a great time just being around. We got to go to tennis matches and softball games, roast hot dogs, play in the hot tub, feed the ducks and on and on. We were very spoiled! It was so nice visiting with grandmas and grandpas and other family.
enjoying our time watching the very athletic, Cassi and Sarah!

Kayt loves books. She got anyone she could to read to her!

The last few days I spend down at my sisters house in Utah. It was great to just hang out with her like we used to. We would get together, just she and I, at least twice a year. Always around November and March. She came out and visited us in November and I needed my Emily fix. We had a great time. It was fun to watch Baron, Ella and Kayt all play! We went to a kids science museum at the Gateway Mall too. It was such a great place with so much to explore.

the closest we got to riding the horses this time
It was a good thing I had Scott waiting for us back here in Columbus becuase I was ready to stay!

What Are You Feeding Them?
My "big girl" Kayt has quite the imagination now adays. She is constantly changing who everyone is, and expects us to all be our characters. It is amazing to me how she just flips from person to person and is never quite content with who she is for the time. It is fun. I have to admit, I am not very good at keeping up. However, I do try and am getting better.
Her usual characters are princesses, Brad and Traci and Lainy, Emily and Baron, Grandmas and Grandpas, or a friend and their mom. Tonight she was Jasmin, I was Alladin and Ella was the tiger, Raja. That is correct. She was the tiger. Ella is usually the boy. Poor thing, it brings back childhood memories for me!
Anyway, she was calling for Raja to come and eat and Scott and I were curious as to what she was so intent on Ella, our resident tiger, eating. We came around the corner and Kayt is holding all the figures from her doll house! Scott looked at her and asked, "what are you feeding them Kayt?" She inoccently replied, "people!" Scott and I laughed for quite some time. I am not sure where she picked up on this idea, it may have been when Scott played doll house and fed her poor unsuspecting princesses to the alligators, but I now understand why everytime we walk past the tiger at the zoo she says, "mom if it tries to chase me, we need to shoot it." The tiger wants to eat her! Duh!
Funny, funny Kayt. Never a dull moment!
Happy Mother's Day to Me!
I just had to write about my fantastic mothers day this year. Scott, Kayt and Ella did a wonderful job of making me feel so good about my job! My mothers day actually began on Saturday night when Scott and I had a little date night and he cooked me dinner. The food was fantastic. It love having our late night bake offs. They are something I really look forward to. Sunday after church Ella feel right to sleep, her gift to me, and I took a two hour nap!!! Does it get any better than that? While I was napping Scott and Kayt made me a book. Kayt drew all of her favorite things, including me! Scott's gift was a set of coupons for all of my favorite things. Mostly foot rubs!! He got me a gps running watch as an early mothers day gift so the coupons were an added bonus!
Scott's fam sent me some beautiful flowers also. They are still slowly dieing on our mantel, but I want to get the most I can out of them!
All in all, it was a great day! Go Moms!
